Welcome to Hartside Pictures Feedback Here
This website was created because of my two passions Photography and Motorcycles
And in the belief that many of you keen motorcyclists would appreciate a keepsake of a trip or tour
with your bike in motion, rather than the normal static or posed shots we are mostly used to.
Friends have commented many times that Everyone has pics of their bike static,
or indeed with them sat on it posing, but none of themselves in motion.
Hence Hartside Pictures was born.
Please feel free to look around in the pictures section,
Don't forget the samples are very low rez and shrunk for web use. Original pictures are high resolution 8 mega pixel files
and if you wish to purchase a photo contact me Via the ordering section.
A little bit about Hartside Pass
Hartside is a Pass located on the A686 road between Penrith and Alston in Cumbria England.
It rises to an altitude of 1,904 feet above sea level, the route
is a well maintained road and has a
tight and twisty section between Melmerby and the Cafe located at the
summit, on the other side
going back down towards the northeast it has fast sweeping bends. As
such it is the favourite haunt of
Bikers from all over the north of england
On any given day there are many bikes
traversing the route and the Cafe is a meeting point for a
chat and a welcome cup of something warm. Weekends are obviously busy
times and a wide array of
motorcycles from custom choppers to vintage bikes and modern sports machines can
be seen,
there are also those with trails bikes that visit the fell as there are numerous
trails to be ridden.
A partial view of the last mile or so looking towards Melmerby , the tight
twisty bit starts
at the end of this View , and goes all the way down into the valley at the
bottom.

Some pictures from outside and inside the warm and welcoming Cafe at the summit
